This calligraphy ink comes in a 15ml pot.

The calligraphy inks are handmade by me in my studio and I have created a range of different colours for you to enjoy. The inks have been made using gouache and have been designed for the use of either a dipping pen (Nibs and luxury penholders are available in my shop now) or a paintbrush (Brush calligraphy).

My calligraphy inks are water based which means that if you find that the ink is too thick, you can add 1 or 2ml of water to reduce this (Mix well with a small paint brush after this - Continue to add more water if required). Equally, if the ink is too watery you can leave the ink with the lid off so that the water can evaporate slightly (I advise you to leave this in a safe, dry place over several hours).

Please be aware that the gouache used will settle over time, so before using it remember you will need to “SHAKE TO WAKE” your ink before you use it as the colours will settle in the jar. If it’s settled for a longer period of time, you may need to mix it with a paint brush. After use, wipe round the edges to stop the ink drying and the lid sticking.

I have tested each ink using a Nikko G or Brause 361 nib.

My ink should work with most pointed pens, but depending on your style and your choice of nib, the overall look might appear different.
