I will be hosting a Beginner’s Calligraphy workshop at Mitton Hall in Whalley. Mitton Hall is a beautiful wedding venue situated on the outskirts of Whalley. It is the most beautiful and historic building.
If you haven't checked it out already, I would highly recommend it. I couldn't resist it's decor and knew it was the PERFECT location for one of my calligraphy workshops.

What to expect in a workshop?

The workshop will begin with a thorough introduction of what supplies you will be using (and taking home) followed by some exercises to help you understand how to develop certain movements and shapes. You will then move onto creating letterforms. At this point, you will feel confident enough to create a style of your own. 

I offer a limited amount of tickets for my Calligraphy workshops. This is to ensure that each ticket holder has some one-to-one guidance with me to help them confidently get stuck into the Art of Modern Calligraphy.

- A Kate Illustrate Modern Calligraphy Handbook

PS. The ink we will be using is permanent; sleeves and wrists in particular can be at risk of getting ink on them.

*Cancellations/Change of workshop - Please be aware that I need a minimum of 14 days notice if you would like to change to a different workshop or refund your ticket. This allows me time to advertise this space to other people.
